Pet Peeves

"And they have nothing to say..." For my Pet Peeve I drew four girls who naturaly think they are very different, with different styles and thoughts and don't even try to talk to one another because they're 'too different' yet in their rooms you can see they all have similar interests. It bothers me that people think that just because someone doesn't look or act like them, they won't get along. All four of them could be friends but they'll never know...(Half of the fourth girl and her room were cut off in the scanner).

When I first thought of garden I thought of the wild, the jungle and then I thought of "The King of the Jungle", the lion.

LeapII

This was my second idea for "leap". A young girl standing at a mirror and looking at a reflection that isn't exactly hers with her hand in the mirror.

A bit simple and cartoony but I just couldn't resist; this little frog demanded to be drawn!

For the theme 'multiple' I drew a mother horse with her twin foals, it's a rarity for a horse to have multiple foals at once; considered a miracle for both to be safely born and survive.

Theory

For the topic of Theory I was, at first, unsure of what to do
and out of no where. 'opposites attract' hit me. Dark vs light, goth/punk vs prep, girl vs boy, take it how you will but to me it is an interesting theory that has survived through the ages.

This is a countor drawing of myself, using colored paper.

Bike

This is a half-done painting of a bike using different shades and tints of violet.

Choose

This is a drawing at a cat at a crossroads deciding which way to go, I was inspired by the Robert Frost poem about choosing a path, either the well worn path taken by many, the easier route as depictied by the smooth path leading to the house cats, or the rougher path much less traveled leading to the glade with food, water and shelter. The poem ends by saying he chose the path less traveled and it made all the difference.

Blanket

The theme of this drawing was blanket. Children seem to use a blanket as a protection device, always carrying it with them for safty, so I drew a small boy sleeping under his blanket as it protects him from all things dangerous or scary.

Tales and Legends

For the drawing "Tales and Legends" I drew an old man and a young girl sitting around a camp fire, nine creatures of fantasy hidden in the nature around them. I know I could have done something easier or better looking but I really wanted to stick with this idea.
